California’s leading provider of political data and information to campaigns
Paul Mitchell is Vice President of Political Data Inc. and the owner of Redistricting Partners – both nationally recognized bipartisan industry leaders in their respective fields. Mitchell has an undergraduate degree from American University in Law and Communications, and Masters in Public Policy from USC, with a focus on urban planning and econometrics.
With Political Data, Paul helps run a company that provides data to campaigns on both sides of the aisle. PDI is an invaluable tool for campaigns across the state as they attempt to contact registered voters, model voter behavior, target their constituencies and Get out the Vote. Paul is also the lead in working with academic institutions, the Public Policy Institute of California, Field Poll and other nonprofit groups.
Paul is a well-known expert on redistricting, appearing in state and national publications and was featured in a CNN Presents documentary on the State’s new redistricting process. He has worked with several statewide organizations on legislative and congressional redistricting, and dozens of local agencies on voting rights issues and implementation of the California Voting Rights Act.
For the past five years, Paul has been on the Capitol Weekly’s “Top 100 List” of Influential People in Sacramento. He currently writes CA120, a series of data and politics articles for Capitol Weekly.
