Rosanne Foust: Moderator
Rosanne Foust joined the San Mateo Economic Development Association (SAMCEDA) in July 2008. As Vice President of SAMCEDA, she has established strategic alliances, enhanced the organization’s educational initiatives, and increased membership by 20% during challenging economic times. In addition, Foust currently serves as the Redwood City Vice Mayor. Prior to her tenure at SAMCEDA and the Redwood City Council, Foust served on and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority.
Rosanne Foust is the President and CEO of SAMCEDA, as well as the Vice Mayor (2013-2015), City of Redwood City (Elected 2003, 2007, 2011; Served as Vice Mayor 2005-2007 and Mayor 2007-2009). She spent a twenty year career with Alsace Development International USA, Inc. in multiple positions including Regional Manager, Director U.S. Operations, Executive Vice President North America & Treasurer of the Corporation
She served as Deputy Chair of the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce; Past Chair of the Board. (Elected to the Board in 2000, Chair in 2003, Deputy Chair since 2006)
Foust is also a Trustee of the Bay Area Council Economic Institute, Board Member of of the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority, Chair of Peninsula Television (PenTV), and Treasurer and Board Member of Casa de Redwood (senior housing complex).
She has a MA Public Administration; BA International Studies and Economics; Completed Executive Management Programs at Stanford University, including Entrepreneurial Boot Camp and UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management
Foust was honored by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the “Most Influential Women in Business in the Bay Area” in 2009, 2010 and a member of the Forever Influential Honor Roll for the past five years. The Redwood City San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce named Rosanne Person of the Year and in 2009 and 2013. In 2002 she was the Athena Businesswoman of the Year.
